Rottweiler Year Meeting

Rottweiler Year Meeting and followed up by the Year Meeting Show.

The year meeting went off quite normal. It's been a few changes of the higher positions in the club and I look forward to see what the new central board will do for the club and the breed.

The year meeting dog show this year, they said the entries were up by 30 entries. As an exhibitor and a member of the Rottweiler Club I have never complained in any literate way about a venue or organization. But I'm sorry to say that in the 15 years I've been showing dogs at Sieger style shows for the Swedish Rottweiler club, this was absolutely the worst venue of all. The Kennel Just Ask did extremely well for which I'm very grateful for. But I think of those people who went of the expectations of maybe doing well or even just to have a nice day participating in a Rottweiler club event, the problem was that it was nothing nice about it. The venue was very cold and of course we cannot control the weather, but there was no easy facilitates for people to get away from the cold to a proper cafeteria that we often see in many ride halls. Because of my job, almost every weekend during the winter I'm in some kind of a riding hall training dogs and I've come to realise that the quality of the ground is very important. This hall was full of dry saw dust and old horse shit. As soon as the dogs begin running the dust was unbelievably. The whole hall was not big enough for three proper size rings. And what was very noticeable that when people were finished in the class, they just wanted to go out of there.

This morning Emily spent some time cleaning the car and although we changed most of our clothes before we turning home it was hard to believe how dusty the car was. If the Rottweiler club wants ordinary members continue supporting these events, then we have to put in more effort in making a day as pleasing for everybody, not just the winners. Let's hope for a better situation in the future.

Thank you very much to the judges for thinking so highly of the dog's that Just Ask Kennels presented.
